Brendan Twohig has more than seventeen years of legislative and
campaign experience. Before establishing his own firm in 2006, Mr.
Twohig worked in the California State Legislature for more than a
decade. He was Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Patty Berg where he
managed overall political strategy, media communications,
speechwriting, state budget issues and the legislative agenda. Earlier
in his legislative career, Mr. Twohig served the Chair of the Assembly
Education Committee, Kerry Mazzoni, as Policy Committee Consultant
and, before her appointment as Chair, as Legislative Aide. He also
served as Legislative Director for Assembly Natural Resources

training to newly elected legislators. He also has extensive experience supervising and
staffing high priority political campaigns in San Diego, Riverside, Marin, Sonoma, Solano and
North Coast counties, many with budgets in excess of one million dollars. Mr. Twohig received
his Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in English from the University of California at Davis,
graduating with honors.
